Cocker Spaniels tend to be lively, affectionate and intelligent. They are good family dogs but not particularly good at being guard dogs! They tend to be very enthusiastic and lively and are very easily trained-as they like to please their owners. Be aware!- they can also be quite strong-willed so it is best to start training early.
Cocker spaniels have a great temperament, they are gentle, lovable, good with young children,loyal, affectionate and companionable. They do not make good guard dogs, they are to friendly.
