The cocker spaniel poodle mix dog known as a cockapoo are affectionate, bright and love people. They tend to pick up the traits of both breeds. Great family dog!

It will need to be groomed every 8 to 10 weeks to keep it neat and clean. Since they have long ears you'll have to keep an eye on the dog's ears. Long ears get infected easier than perky ears because air can't circulate. Try and put the dogs ears back once in awhile to ventilate them.

Generally poodle mixes are good pets. They are hypoallergenic as they don't shed but you will need to have its hair cut regularly.

Taking care of this mix isn't any more different than any other dog. You just need to make sure you comb it often because it has long hair.

A cocker spaniel and poodle hybrid is often referred to as a cockapoo, and these dogs often feature the outgoing personality of the cocker mixed with the low-shedding qualities of the poodle. The result is an affectionate dog that sheds far less than a typical cocker spaniel. Furthermore, they are noted for their ability to be trained easily.
