Should I be concerned about my cat sneezing mucus?

Your cat probably has an upper respiratory infection. This is very contagious to other pets. If an adult, check his gums, pink is good. He needs to stay hydrated, he may not eat if he can't smell his food. If more than 3-4 days, you need a vet. If a kitten, vet now- dehydration and fever will kill quickly.

Yes. All cats sneeze sometimes, just as humans do. But discharge from the nose is a sign of a possible infection, especially if it's something other than clear discharge. Upper respiratory infection (URI) is one common ailment. If a cat has a URI, supportive care will be needed. Your vet can diagnose the probable cause.

Occasional sneezing along with mucus release in cats can be ignored and is not much to worry about. But in case it happens often, it might be something serious like viral infection or some allergic reaction. Consult a veterinarian immediately if the cat suffers from the problem for a long time.

No. Cats have immune systems just like humans and as such are susceptible to allergies. If there are any irritants in the cats nasal passages, their instinct, just like ours, is to sneeze it out. As long as the mucus is not an unusual color (bloody) than there is no reason to be worried.
