Keep the cat indoors for a while so you can monitor it. Watch to make sure it isn't having any trouble breathing. If it does show signs of weak or labored breathing get it to the vet immediately. In most cases a bee sting is not a big deal, though.

Unless he or she is showing signs of distress such as difficulty breathing, then they should be okay; otherwise, see a vet.

Try to locate and remove the stinger with a fingernail, small tweezer or other thin object. If the stinger isn't visible, let it alone as the cat will eventually shed it off with cat hair. Loving pets and a bit of ice or aloe on the site might help too.

If the site of the sting gets big and swollen the cat should be taken to a vet to make sure it isn't having an allergic reaction.
