How can I get rid of a hornet nest that looks like gray paper?

You could try a poison designed for wasps, or calling an exterminator, but if I were you I would play it safe and just leave the hornet's nest alone.

Best advice would be to get a trained professional to take care of the nest for you as hornets can be very dangerous if disturbed.

Purchase a wasp and hornet killer spray from the grocery store or hardware store. Follow the directions printed on the bottle but basically you spray the chemical on the nest , wait for a specified amount of time and then remove the nest from where it is anchored.

Be extremely careful when dealing with a hornets nest. If you disturb it they will attack to protect the nest. The best way to deal with the nest is to use a chemical hornet spray that you can spray from a distance into the opening of the nest. This is best done at night when the hornets are less active.
