Older reels, like from before 1900 can be worth a few hundred dollars if they are in excellent condition. Newer reels in perfect shape can be worth $30 to $50.

If you collect antique fishing gear this might be of some value to you. If you like to decorate with antique items it could also be a nice accessory to add to your collection. It might looks perfect on a stack of books or on a book case.

There may be, depending on how old it is and what condition it is in. You could take it to a tackle shop and somebody there would be able to help you.

Does it still work? If not, I would throw it out. There's no real use for old fishing reels past their prime, you're best off canning it.
