Is there a relationship between coldsores and pregnancy?

I have a friend who always gets cold sores when she is pregnant.

Pregnancy weakens the immune system which makes women more susceptible to viruses like coldscres when they are pregnant. This means that there is somewhat of a relationship between cold sores and pregnancy.

Yes, there is a relationship. When you are pregnant, your immune system is weaker than normal. A weak immune system can make your body more vulnerable to viruses, such as the one which causes cold sores.
