Yes, the mother goddess or Diana is invoked upon during a newborn blessing ceremony. Words or blessings can be written by you, or you can find some incantations on the internet. Guests usually bring herbs, spices, poetry, etc.. to present to the newborn. Cleansing is done with sage.

Depends on which pantheon you want to use. Good general one is simply the mother goddess since that encompasses motherhood and child protection.
