Although there are some health benefits to coffee, tea is healthier. Most teas contain high levels of antioxidants. The best is green tea; studies show that it helps lower cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar, helps stave off cancer and acts as a mild analgesic. Of course, drinking tea without milk and sugar is better than if you add it.

Tea is healthier than coffee depending on the kind of tea. White, and Green teas use younger tea leaves thus having more antioxident content. Herbal tea is likely the healthiest of the teas. It often has no caffine and can have high nutrient content. Coffee has antioxidents also, however the caffine is its biggest downside.

There are numerous varieties of tea, and they offer different health benefits and risks. It also depends upon what you add to your beverage; black coffee is healthier than tea that is made with a lot of milk and sugar. That being said, tea is generally healthier than coffee, and particularly coffee that is not decaffienated.
