Chocolate contains theobromine (small amounts cause digestive problems, toxic in sufficient quantities). If your dog experiences hyperexcitability, hyperirritability, increased heartrate, frequent urination, diarrhea or vomiting, get to a vet ASAP.

Your dog may very well be sick from eating chocolate. Just a little bit can kill a small dog. Larger dogs can tolerate more. Please see a vet.

Dogs can become sick after consuming chocolate particularly if they ate a lot compared to the dog's size and weight. Take the dog to the vet if you suspect poisoning.

If your dog ate chocolate, that is a bad thing. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs. The dog needs a vet.
