Is it worth buying a threshold or transitions pieces to connect a ceramic tile floor?

Yes, it looks so much more polished and better to have a threshold in transitions. It gives the home a more professional look and adds value. Not having a threshold is so unfinished looking. Wood or marble it doesn't really matter but I would definitely install a threshold for transitions.

It depeds on the application and what two types of flooring are meeting. Obviously, if there is a height difference, a threshold will mitigate that difference. If there isn't, most people prefer the "smooth" transition from tile to other surfaces.

Threshold pieces look much better. The links between tiles become smoother and look nicer. There aren't any rough edges along the ceramic pieces and they are easier to lay down this way.

yes i think it is really worth it because i think it makes the tile floor a lot stronger. i just actually got some when i refinished my living room floor. we ended up doing the kitchen too with ceramic tile.

So you have installed a ceramic floor but now its uneven with all of the surroundning floors. The only way to finish the job is to install a treshhold of some sort. Make sure to get something smooth and rounded to avoid tripping over it!
