Does no one here do research before blurting things out! If your Dr. perscribes it its ok to take as long as you don't abuse the recommended dosage. It is considered a class C drug and not a muscle relaxer a pain reliever like tylenol, look it up.

No. Because taking Vicodin produces greater risk to the baby. Especially, during the first trimester of pregnancy. During the first trimester, the baby's vital organs begin to develop and it can damage the primary organs of the baby such as heart, brain and lungs.

Only if under the direction and supervision of your doctor and even then weigh the risks carefully. Vicodin is addictive and remember whatever you put into your system also goes into your babys system. In fact if you think it is nessary get a second opinion. Your baby is depending on you.

It is safe to take as long as you don't exceed the recommended dosage. Being in pain is worse for a baby than treating it with this medicine.

There have been no studies done on pregnant women using Vicodin and therefore it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the possible risks to the fetus. Usage of Vicodin and similar drugs habitually during pregnancy can lead to dependency and withdrawals when the child is born.

When you are pregnant do not take any medicine without the doctor's advise. If you take medicine as you like it may affect the growth of the fotus. The medicine you have mentioned is taken regularly then consult your physcian for further reduction in dosage.Generally very mild dosage is advisable to treat yourself during pregnancy.

While Vicodin is an opoid, it is not LIKE heroin. Vicodin has a small amount of codiene and usually 325-500 mg of Tylenol (which is perfectly fine to take while pregnant. ) It is a class C drug but if taken as directed and prescribed is okay!

I believe taking any narcotic while pregnant is stupid, and down right selfish. I know your in pain or have a problem! GET HELP THEN! Vicodin is an O-pee-et. (Don't know how to spell it,sound it out.) Like Herion.

Maybe you should learn how to spell opiate. It is a very fast word search if it is too difficult for you.  add a comment

Rude!!!! To call someone stupid or selfish for taking a drug prescribed by a doctor. Have you thought about the stress that your body (thus causing stress on the baby) may be under because of the pain someone is in... How dare you be so judgemental!  add a comment

Your knowledge is as bad as your spelling. Vicodin is considered safe during pregnancy as long as you use the recommended dosage.  add a comment

How rude! It is NOT your place to criticize anyone who has a medical need for a narcotic (not opiate, duh)! STRESS from trying to cope with severe pain can be much more dangerous, so it is ONLY up to a mother and her OB-GYN! Weigh the risks and benefits  add a comment

You know nothing!! You can't even spell, you don't know what kind of drug Vicodin is, nor do you know what some people deal with-I believe YOU have the problem-you're the stupid ignoramus who feels entitled to judge people with A LEGITIMATE MEDICAL REASON to wonder if it is safe!  add a comment

My apologies, but the only place to find out if it is best for you is at your doctor's office-there are too many shady, crazy, insulting people with some harsh opinions. Talk to your doctor, then get a second opinion if you are still concerned. If anything, suck it up.
