Is it safe for pregnant women to use Monistat?

I am pregnant and have developed a yeast infection, is it safe for me to take Monistat?

Monistat should not be harmful for you to use. If you are worried about the effects of using it, there are natural alternative ways to cure a yeast infection that would be safe for you and your child. For any further questions it would be wise to consult your doctor.

Monistat is safe when used for at least 7 days during the second and third trimesters. Check with a doctor before using this medicine during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Generally, yes, there's no problem with it. However, you should never treat anything yourself when pregnant without asking your doctor. She/he may also want to prescribe you a medication that will clear the infection up faster. Good for everyone!

Don't take anything for the yeast infection without first consulting your doctor, just to be safe. Oral treatments are not safe, but some creams are ok for use during pregnancy.

Monistat can be harmful just as any other medication that is taken while you are pregnant. Some doses of yeast infection creams can be too high. Always consult your doctor.
