There are no service that will do this for free. If you are looking at buying a car from a dealer then you can usually get a copy of one for free if you ask. This is not technically free since the dealer pays a monthly fee for searches.

You are going to most likely have to pay for the vin number search and carfax is going to be the best to go through.
