Is it okay to pull the flower out on a wave petunia?

Regular petunias should be pinched or cut just below the flower, once the flower dies. Wave petunias are hybrids and don't require this "deadheading" and They will continue to bloom without any pruning.

My grandmother has done this before with fair results, but one of her friends tried it and the bloom died. The truth of it is that you should wait for it to go into bloom on its own. Rushing the process could cause harm to your beautiful plant! Let Mother Nature do her job, dear.

yes it is ok to pull the flower off for when you do the plant will explode with new flowers and new colors.the flower size of the wave ones are smaller then the regular ones so be gentle.

Wave petunia flowers should be pulled from the stem when it has wilted naturally. This is called "deadheading" and will improve both the appearance and the health of the plant.

you can pull the flower out of the wave petunia but if you pinch them back you will have a fuller and larger plant then just pulling them off pinching back make for a healther plant

You do not want to pull the dead flower out. You actually want to cut just below the flower on the stem. This will get rid of any seed that have developed and encourage more shoots (which means more flowers! )

It is probably best to leave the flower until it falls off naturally. If you pull a flower off the plant will spend alot of energy healing its wound and won't invest much in making more flowers.

i dont know what you mean by pulling out i would say no just pinch the flower off if you dont want them on the plant

im told that with petunia you pinch the flower off after they died and this will make them flower more all summer long.and help them get busher plants and stronger
