Cramping around your c-section scar is very normal. It is caused by your muscles going back to normal and stretching of the skin in the area. If it becomes bothersome consult with your doctor.

No it is not normal to be cramping bad around your scar. Something else is definately going on. Scars do not usually hurt. The cramping could be from an infection or cyst.

Yes, it is normal to be badly cramping around the c section scar, as the area had once been torn before. And hence the muscles around the area are too soft and weak to hold to any pressure that the vibrations of the muscule movement are best sensed only in this aregiving region, resulting in the cramping feeling.

This depends on the severity of the cramps and what you experienced before pregnancy. I would have pretty painful cramps before I had a c-section and after the pain does focus and is more severe on my scar and more so where my muscle scar is, which is a little higher than the one on my skin.

Not medical advice: speaking from experience I have had 2 c-sections. The first I did experience alot of cramping. I took the normal Motrin and jsut lived with the pain. The second I had no symptons BUT I do have the occasional tightening. Consult your OB if pain cont.

The cramping could be related to the uterus regaining it's pre-pregnancy size, thus making the cramping seem to be coming from the incission.

It is very common to have cramping along the line of your c-section, especially if your surgery was in the near past.

If you are concerned at all I would check with your doctor. But if its been recently I would think it was okay, if not I would be concerned.
