Is it normal for a cat to stop labor?

My cat is in labor yet it seems that her labor is not progressing.

The cat needs to go to the vet immediately. It could be because the cat is just too fatigued to continue; there could be a kitten stuck in the birth canal, or any of a number of problems only a vet can diagnose.

I am not a proffesional, but I have had cats throught out my 53 years of life, and they have done the samething. The kittens were all born, and were fine. It so happend in one case that my cat had two kittens almost 3 days after the first kitten was born.

If there are more kittens inside her and she hasn't had one in more than a few hours you should take her to a vet.

It is quite normal for a cat to stop labour this can happen after she has given birth to a kitten or before any kittens are born. This may be a sign of uterine inertia and depending on the level of distress being shown a veterinary examination may be needed.

yes, if they are feeling like there is too much going on around them, they can stop the labor. just leave the cat alone and they should be fine.

No, it's not normal for a cat to stop labor if there are still kittens inside her. Take her to a vet immediately.
