Is it hard to raise a guinea pig?

Guinea pigs are pretty easy in my book, and they give so much affection back to you. You just need to feed them their pellets a few times a day and their lettuce, carrot, or other staple food once a night. Although, not everybody is into how loud they squeak.

You need a cage, and bedding which has to be changed to keep the smell down. And the kids will want to play with it, which means jelly beans everywhere.

Guinea pigs are not starter pets. They require spacious homes, plenty of fresh veg, hay and pellets and vet care. Think carefully before getting one.
