Yes its a good idea to by designer gowns online, if you know how the designer sizes his dresses. You get the benifit of paying by credit card to have as a receipt backup.

It really depends on what part of the country you live in. If you live in a big city and have access to high end department stores and boutiques, it would be preferable to try things on. Unless you have a perfect figure, it's difficult to imagine what it will look like on you.

If you're focus is buying an actual 'designer' you want to be careful with buying them online. Either buy from the actual designers site or try and steer clear of buying online.

It can be way to get a great deal, but make sure you have accurate measurements of yourself so you can purchase the right size!

Even though you say that you are easy to fit, it is not a good idea to buy designer gowns online. Gowns are something that you need to try on in person.
