According to the Cabo tourist website their is not much crime in Cabo, and the location is safer then the United States and Mexico mainland in general. As this information is from a website that wants you to visit it is important to remember the best thing to do is to be careful at all times.

As with any tourist area, criminals are always on the lookout for a camera or purse they can grab, or a drunken tourist who has roamed into a unsafe area. If you're smart and alert, you won't have a problem. Efforts are made to keep crime to a minimum in the well traveled areas.
