Just google it and look for a site about city-data. It will give you lots of information on the area of zip code you enter. It will show you the crime rate, sex offenders, homes and pretty much everything you'd need to know before moving to an area.

Your local police department can give you this information. They put out a monthly crime report, usually in your local newspaper, that is broken down by the type of crime that has happened. You may be able to go online to your Police Departments website to find out this information.

Typically most police departments will report crimes conducted in a city. These are often broken down by zip code though may also be categorized in other ways as well.

You can get this information several different ways. The first way is to find your local FBI office (in the blue pages of your phone book) and call them. Secondly, you can visit any library and they would be able to tell you. Or you can purchase Uniform Crime Reports directly from the FBI. Or you can find it online.
