Most misdemeanors are expungeable after a period of time. Depending on the nature of the crime, a misdemeanor can be expunged by filing a motion with the court and sending notice to different entities who handled the criminal proceedings. Someone would have to check with the court that convicted whether or not the particular misdemeanor can be expunged.

Laws regarding this differ from state to state. Sometimes after a certain length of time the misdemeanor will be dropped.
