Social dating rules have changed quite a bit in the past few generations. Many girls do call guys in today's society. I've seen enough talk shows, though, that state guys still like to be the one making the call.

He might. Ultimately, it is up to you whether or not you call the guy though. His expectations shouldn't mean that much to you unless you already have a close relationship with him. In the end, if you want to call, then do it, otherwise don't.

If you meet someone and they give you their number and ask you to call, then chances are they will be awaiting your call. If they just give you their card and say nothing I am sure they would like you to call. Calling is never harmful, repeat calling is.

It depends on what kind of situation you are in. Typically, guys do expect a phone call if it's romantic, because they think that "If she's into me, she will give me a call." If you don't then they will assume it is nothing.
