How do you recognize God's call to be a missionary?

This requires much prayer and consideration. Read the Bible constantly, and get advice from trusted Christian advisors, such as pastors, church elders, family members, mentors, and leaders. Do you have the desire to be a missionary?

You need to pray about it. You recognize the call when you pray about it and you get that very powerful feeling in your heart that tells you it is the right thing to do.

Think about the lifestyle of a missionary, what is it that interests you? Do you want to teach others? Is teaching a skill that you currently possess?

Do you honestly want to be a missionary? That's the answer. God is within, do not try to find him anywhere else, you are His temple and His revelation.

If you think of where you want to be ten years from now and missionary is in that vision, if you won the lottery and money was no object and you would choose that job, you are probably called.
