Every state has at least one nursing school. The best schools are the ones that have a hospital on campus for furthering research and teaching medical staff. Some of the top rated schools are Penn, Georgetown, Stanford, and Chamberlain.

Your local community or junior college will probably have some kind of nursing program. These are excellent places for nursing because they usually have programs that provide you with hands on experience and are affordable. For more advanced nursing, you may try a state university.

One of the best schools for a nursing major would be the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Since there is a large teaching/research hospital there, the students have a great opportunity to work and study in a great environment.

This question is hard to answer without knowing where you are from or how far you will be willing to travel, but one good school in Pennsylvania is Bloomsburg University.

Look for a school with National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) accreditation; this ensures a high standard of instruction and training. NLNAC is under the National League for Nursing.
