How should I go about troubleshooting my guitar amp lineout cable?

I can't get any sound out!

The cable may not be connected properly. You may also want to check and see if the cord is frayed or split - you may need to replace it.

Check the wire carefully for any sign of rupture, including the ends. A cut/broken wire and even a mildly bent endpiece can cause audio failure.
