How do you know if the tubes in your guitar amp are going bad?

if there are any noticeable drops in volume or if they are glowing dimmer than usual, change tubes. using instrument cables insteadof speaker cables to hookup cabs can causestatic.

Turn down the volume of your guitar and amp and see it the static exists. If so, then replace the tubes. It is cheaper than replacing the amp.

It could be the tubes, or you might have some damaged wiring or you might just have to turn down the gain! I would bring it to a repair shop and have it looked at
