Three times a day! Puppies have a lot of energy.
But not too much, especially for bigger dogs (labs included) because they'd grow too fast for their bones to handle and it will cause serious health problems for them in future.
In my opinion you can feed a puppy three times a day he is just learning to come off of his mother's milk. When they are first weaned from the mother they will not know how to eat hard kibble, you will have to soak it with water. It makes it easier for them to eat the food.
