Feeding any dog, you should follow the directions of the brand. Take the total amount recommeded and divide it by # of times per day you feed the dog. That's the amount it should have at each meal. Under 6 months old, a puppy should be fed 3X per day. Six months-1 yr, twice daily.

If he is less than 6 months he should be fed smaller meals of puppy formula about 2-3 times a day. Buy puppy formula I mean kibble that is designed for puppies. If the puppy is just being weaned then mix some dry kibble in with wet food or milk and gradually increase the amound of kibble to wet.

That depends on what you are feeding the pup, how often you are feeding, and also the puppy's weight. The puppy food bag or container should display a chart, advising you of the proper amount and feeding schedule.
