What is the best puppy food for my new puppy?

My dog eats Nutro Natural Choice dog food. My vet recommended it because it doesn't contain corn while other brands do. Corn is bad for dogs' digestion system, later on it may cause internal clogging. The price is a little steep, but I want the best for my buddy.

Homemade is best. Consult your vet on how much of what to feed your dog. Not Puppy Chow, not Science Diet. You need something with a sufficient meat content, no fillers, no corn. Healthy puppies eat healthy food.

Dog food is like cars. You have your jalopy's: Pedigree and Ol' Roy, station wagons: Purina, fancy sports car: Purina ONE, IAMS, Hill's, and the cadillac: Royal Canin. Use a puppy chow, if required use a large breed formula and pick the best you can do with price.

Nutro Choice Dog Food. I started giving my dig this as well and his coat is so beautiful now. He used to get heat spots but NOT NO MOOOORE! yay! Nutro Choice by far!!!

I agree with Dita, Natural Choice has no corn and is low in preservatives, which only fill the dog, not give it nutrition. Corn goes just like it does in humans, in then out! AVOID OL' ROY! I have seen dogs starve on it because of no nutrition!

Puppy Chow is considered to be one of the best puppy foods on the market, if you are uncertain about what to give him you could check with your vet.

It's important to purchase food produced especially for puppies. Science Diet, in my opinion is the best brand available to start with. Read the label for specific ingredients and instructions. This brand is available in most stores. If this doesn't agree with your puppy, check with your veterinarian.

I would suggest Purina Puppy Chow.I would also check on the web to see if there is a place that offers breed specific dog food.
