Puppies are like babies. They need alot of sleep. Puppies grow much more rapidly then babies do so they will sleep a ton! They also need alot of food and water. let the puppy sleep, if the dog is lethargic, and has no appetite then you need to get it to the vet, there could be something else going on.

Puppies need a lot of sleep. They are similar to human babies in that they love to play, but need more sleep time than awake time. As puppies age they will need less and less sleep. As long as your puppy is active and playful when they are awake they are fine.

Puppies will sleep anywhere from 15-20 hours a day. The rest of the time your puppy will probably be hyperactive. Puppies need a lot of sleep because their constantly growing.
