Question by  OrcaV (22)

How much is normal body fat?

I think I am normal but my husband does not think so.

Answer by  Shikimo (44)

The normal body fat varies for everyone. Consider the factors like the age and gender. For instance, 20-30 is normal for women but for males it should be lower.

Body fat varies from person to person; however, a 20-27 percentage of body fat is relatively normal for a female. This depends on your weight vs. waist circumference.

The healthy body fat percentile for men and women are drastically different because of body composition. Your husband may be thinking of your fat content to be on par with a man's simply because he doesn't know of the physiological difference. A healthy man should have about 10% body fat and a healthy woman should have around 25%.
