Spaying a female cat is more expensive that neutering a male, because it's a more complicated procedure. A vet may charge you $200 or more to spay your cat. Fortunately, many areas have shelters that offer low-cost spay/neuter at certain times, so check around.

Many low-cost spay/neuter clinics will charge about $40 or less if you qualify income-wise. At a vet it will probably be closer to $75 or $100.

You should check with your local ASPCA,they often will have information regarding spay/nueter programs offered locally at $10-25,available in every state. Also,spay/nueter day is the last Tuesday of February, all services are free to the public if you can wait that long.

it will probably vary depending on the vet you use or if you get the cat from an animal shelteras they sometimes work out a discount with a vet for the spaying or neutoring. It cost me 30 dollars to get the male cat fixed and 60 for the female.

Here in Atlanta avg spay was 125-155 but I got online and searched low cost spay/neuter programs. Found out the local humane society does them for $20 and it includes microchipping them. Other low cost programs in the area ran 35-60 dollars. Also pet vaccines are also offered
