There are many different ways to say "hello" in the US. One can say "Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Hey! How are you?; How's it going?; Hi; Hi, How're you today?; Hey y'all, How're y'all and Hey. These are just the words and phrases that are often use in the area where I live (Southeast US).

Hi How are you doing? What's up? How is it going? What is going on? How do you do? It's nice to meet you! It's nice to see you again! Good morning! Good afternoon! Where have you been? I have not seen you for a while. What are you up to?
