What is a humane way to euthanasia a pet at home?

My dog is in the final stages of renal failure and I would like to know a humane way to end it for him.

This is DEFINITELY a question for your vet. I'm not even sure if what you are asking is legal. Or try the Humane society. They can probably do it.

The only at-home method approved by the American Veterinary Medical Association is mixing baking soda and vinegar to produce carbon dioxide, and only for animals or reptiles weighing less than two pounds. It is not always reliable and recommeded only in extreme circumstances. Take the dog to a vet.

There is no humane way to euthanise a pet a home. If you do so, even though you think you are helping him, there can be severe punishment if you were to be cought. The only way is to go to your local Vet.
