This drug is the generic equivalent of Percocet and is prescribed for moderate to severe pain, oftentimes after surgery. You definitely want to follow all directions. Generally the dosage is one to two tablets every 4-6 hours.

It is an extremely addictive Opioid analgesic, and has different dosages available, so it depends on the size (in milligrams) of the tablet that your Doctor has prescribed. The average under clinical studies is 6 to 10 hours, therefore doctors generally prescribe for 8 hour doses. Because it has acetamenophen, there is a daily limit of 4g to prevent liver damage.
