How long does it take to become a part of the special forces?

Special forces members are handpicked after consultations with superior officers and trainers. There is no set timeframe but one would be chosen earlier in his career rather than later.

First you have to finish basic training, which takes 12 weeks i believe in the army. Then you have to go through AIT for infantry and jump school. After this you can talk to your commanding officer to be put into special force training which takes a few weeks.
