How long has Quaker Oats oatmeal been made?

I can't remember when it wasn't a part of my pantry.

The Quaker Oats company has been around since 1881,when It was known as The Quaker Mill Company. The Quaker Oats cereal box first appeared in 1885,making it possible to buy the product in small quantities,as opposed to buying it in bulk. The Quaker man on the box was patented by a man named Henry Seymour,the company's founder.

Ferdinand Schumacher established the German Mills American Cereal Company in Akron and began production of Quaker Oats. The "man in Quaker garb" was selected as the trademark in 1870.

Quaker Oats oatmeal has been made for over a hundred years - four oat mills joined forces in 1901, and the Quaker Oats Company was born. So, Quaker Oats oatmeal has been produced for almost 110 years now.

The Quaker Oats Company was started in 1901 by Henry Parsons Crowell and a group of three other men who owned oat mills. Their names were Ferdinand Schumacher, John Stuart, George Douglas.
