How long can you freeze cheese?

I was hoping the answer is 6 months.

It depends on the type of cheese. Cream cheeses can be frozen for around six months and hard cheeses around one year.

Hard cheeses can be frozen for six months. It will slice and grate just fine. Make sure it is wrapped well before freezing, or it will be subject to freezer burn just like any other food. Soft cheese, like cottage cheese, do not freeze well. Neither does ricotta. Stick with the hard cheeses, like cheddar!

You can freeze cheese for a long time. You can freeze it for 6 months or more. Freezing is basically good for any period of time.
