If you're rear-ended 10 mph your bumper should not be damaged; however, anything between 10 to 25 mphs will easily put a dent. Higher mph's will be major damage.

The 2009 Toyota Camry provides a level of protection only marginally better than its predecessors. Against its competitors, it is found to be lacking in this respect.

It depends on what year you are referring to. Most models from 2004 and up did alright according to the IIHS. 2004 to 2008 model with leather did poor.

I was once in an rear end collision while in a toyota Camry. I was the passenger. Make sure to have the rear axle checked for damages when they do the diagnostic. It can end up being more than just body work, no matter how it may look on the outside.
