Finding the cube root of a number is simple with a TI-83. Take the number and raise it to the 1/3 power (i.e. n^(1/3)), this will give you the cube root for n.

The simplest way is to use the carat key to raise the target number to the 1/3 power. If you want the cube root of 27, type 27, then the carat key, then divide 1 by 3 in parentheses, and then hit the Enter key (answer: 3).
