A cube root is the number you have to cube to get the number you started with. The cube root of 27 is 3, because 3x3x3=27

The cube root is the same as elevating the number to the power of one third, the exponent will be 1/3, let's say we have the following example, if they want the cubic root of 8, that will be same as (8)^(1/3) then you convert 8 to 2^3 so you will solve (2^3)^(1/3)=2

y to the power of 3 - the cube root is y. For example: the cube root of 27 is 3 and 3 to the power of 3 is 27. 3x3x3=27
