Do most math teachers use the TI-89 graphing calculator?

It really depends on the level of math. In our area the most popular choice is the TI-84 or TI-84 Silver Edition. Another choice is the TI-83. Another choice is TI-94. You really need to check with your teacher, assuming you are a student, to see what they want you to use.

In my personal experience with teachers and standardized tests,the short answer is no.While the TI-89 is a great calculator with plenty of useful programs,most do not use it.The reason is because of the great programs themselves,teachers,and companies like the college board do not allow this calculator because of the unfair advantages it gives.The most used is the TI-83, equally great.
