# How do you use scales?

I need to understand the use of scales.

Scales can also mean the conversion of some unmeasurable thing into a numeric quantity. For example, on a scale of 1 to 10, I like this dress a five. 1-10 being your scale of "liking."

To use a scale you place the object on the scale and then wait until it is done weighing. You then read the weight on the window. It can be electric or manual
