You would use integration to calculate the volume of a swimming pool. If you have the formula for the pool you would integrate that formula with the proper constraints. If not your would integrate by cross sections.

Write an equation that describes the depth of the pool as a function of its length. (i. e. d = 3 + 4*x) Multiply by the width and integrate over the length.
