This is easy. As long as you have the money order number you are fine. Contact the issuer of the money order, provide them the number and they will track.

There are several different service providors for money orders. Should your money order be from the post office, you will need to go in and fill out a form 6401. This process is done at a fee. If your money order was from Western Union, you would need to sign and notarize an affidavit. This is done at a fee.
