Go to any Western Union, you'll need the money order number as well as information concerning who it came from, what city, state, etc. and have them trace it.

Every money order has a serial number. You must submit a written request giving Western Union all the information you have about the money order (payee, amount, etc. ) including the serial number. It may take up to 60 days to research it and respond to you.

Go back to the location that sold you the money order, give them the Money Transfer Control Number) of the order, the sender's first name and the sender's last name. If they remember you, they can look it up for you and you can track it from there. Otherwise, you will need to call 1-800-999-9660 with the same information.

Complete your request information on the back of your Western Union Receipt or complete it on line. Put your name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, date and the amount of the money order purchase. Will need to know who the money was payable to, and reason for request.

You can trace a money order from Western Union very easily. First, you need a copy of the receipt. There will be a tracking number on the receipt. All you need to do is visit a Western Union location or call their toll free number. Provide the tracer number and they will be able to give you the tracking information.
