How do you string beads and have them stay in place?

It sounds to me like your beads and whatever you are using for string are not compatible. Try a thicker string for those beads, or get smaller beads for that string for best results.

In order to string beads and keep them in place in the event that the holes in a bead are too big, one could simply wrap the string around a certain side of the bead, making a knot around the edge to keep it in place there, and then proceeding with the rest of the beads like so.
