How do you send a text message to an AT&T phone?

open your phone and select the messaging option,then select new message option,In the to window type the 10 digit cell phone number AT & T phones of the person whom you want to send that text message,then type your text message on the message window then press the option send. The at&t recipient receive your text message as new message

First, as your friend if his or her service plan include text service. Althoug most plans do, it is possible your frind's phone cannot accept text.

Normally you would send a text to (your friends phone number,no dashes)@att. mobile. net. Make sure your friend has a phone that can receive text messages, or has that service.

I will go to menu option and then message option. I will type my messages in text format. Finally I will send to the concern person from the phone memory. If i do not have phone number in my mobile then I will enter the phone numbers directly.

Sending a text message to any phone is the same from your phone, the instructions are specific to your phone. If you are recieving an error message only when you try to send to that number you should call your provider for technical support. If you haven't texted anyone else try that first and see if it goes through.
