How do you replace an oil pressure switch on a car?

My car is a 1994 Thunderbird LX, and I would like to do this myself.

Order a replacement OEM part. The oil pressure switch is located on the under left side of the motor, near the alternator. Removing the alternator will give you a little more room to play around in there. The Oil pressure switch is held on by a pressure clamp easily removed by a screwdriver.

Well once you have located the switch usually all you have to do is unhook and unscrew the old one. Then install and plug in the new one.

It is located centrally on the engine facing the radiator. There's a small wire that is routed across the alternator so it can be found by tracing that. You might have to remove the alternator to get to it first depending on the size of your hands and arms.
